- Range approx. 100 m
- Data exchange via serial port profile
- Optional TCP/IP stack or low-speed interface
Well-suited for mobile and stationary applications
CANview® Bluetooth enables wireless data transfer between two different CAN networks (“CAN bridging”) or between a CAN network and a PC, laptop, or PDA via Bluetooth connection. Various devices with Bluetooth interfaces can exchange data with each other, provided they support the needed SPP (serial port profile), i.e. a virtual serial COM port. Linked devices can be mobile (e.g., vehicles or machines) or stationary (e.g., buildings, meters or systems). CANview® Bluetooth supports the CANview® mode, allowing the device to be operated like the CAN/RS-232 converter (CANview®). The operation in the CANopen slave mode enables CANopen participants to communicate with Bluetooth devices. CANview® Bluetooth is available with TCP/IP stack or low-speed CAN interface (optional features) and can easily be replaced with CANview® or CANview® USB.
Customer-specific models
CANview® Bluetooth has a robust housing and an EMC-proof design for deployment in rugged environments. The CAN side is electrically isolated from the Bluetooth side. An individual hardware design is possible on request.
Configuration via Bluetooth possible
The CANview® Bluetooth firmware can be adapted to the needs of the customer. A flash tool for updating the firmware is delivered with the product. The configuration can take place via CAN or via Bluetooth with the CANview® Bluetooth Configurator. The PC software RM CAN Device Monitor is used for communication with the CAN bus.
